Pernod Ricard Americas Deploys Monolith's Solution for IT Infrastructure Management

Monolith Software, a provider of flexible IT management software, has claimed that Pernod Ricard Americas has deployed its solution for monitoring and managing the IT infrastructure.

Monolith has claimed that it is the only vendor offering a multi-tenant, single code set solution that addresses - fault, availability, performance, correlation, discovery, mapping capped off with the industry leading real-time dashboarding and service level management.

"The IT Complexity Crisis: Danger and Opportunity," by Roger Sessions denotes that IT failures end up costing a global economy upwards of $6.2 trillion yearly. To protect against such failures, and to reduce the complexity of managing its IT infrastructure -- which serves 3,500 users in North and South America, covering 300 servers and 200 switches and routers -- Pernod Ricard decided to search for expert outside IT support.

Director of Infrastructure and Data Center Operations at Pernod Ricard Americas, Anne Marie Schofield has stated that the bottom line is that for every minute an IT service is down, it costs their company money. This is why monitoring software is so important.

The ultimate goal of Pernod Ricard Americas is for IT to become a strategic asset to the business. Cost-effective and rapid resolution to any IT management failures is a primary way to accomplish this.

Monolith Software changes the game with an application monitoring solution that fuses together real time, passive feed monitoring and processing; synthetic transactions and end-to-end simulation and testing of the user experience; with internal application and external performance monitoring -- three critical measures that give users unprecedented visibility into the performance of key applications.

Monolith then rolls this information up into dashboard views to visually depict the performance dynamics of even the most complex application, in addition to providing real time status of all collected and polled data.

Pernod Ricard Americas has asserted that after exploring several options found that Monolith’s software solution is the answer for all their requirements. Since it does its own polling and actively seeks IP ranges, there's no need for complex scripts or rules-writing.

Monolith Software allows to seize control over complex, high availability environments with a consolidated monitoring solution that gives multiple and flexible methods for systems monitoring that goes beyond CPU, disk and memory in scope, and puts no platform limitations on Pernod Ricard Americas. Moving forward, the company plans to expand its use and standardize with Monolith.
