Verecloud Unveils Nimbus Cloud Service Brokerage

By Jai C.S., TMCnet Contributor

Cloud computing services provider Verecloud launched Nimbus cloud service brokerage also known as CSB for large enterprises.

In a release, John McCawley, chief executive officer at Verecloud said, “We believe Verecloud’s Nimbus Cloud Service Brokerage is the first full-service brokerage. Our pioneering efforts are a launchpad for the aggregation and integration of cloud services as a true marketplace.”

Verecloud also added that cloud is a better way for businesses to acquire and use information and communication technology. It is also of the opinion that from infrastructure to software, applications to storage, voice communications to messaging, virtually every aspect of IT or communications service is now available through the Internet. According to the company, diverse new cloud services are becoming available at a staggering rate, making it difficult to navigate the complicated array of offerings.

Nimbus CSB is said to address all of the concerns of a communications service provider that is looking for a way to extend their relationship with business customers, and participate in the $94 billion cloud services market.

Verecloud claims that its Nimbus cloud service brokerage platform is developed to deliver a full-service brokerage for communications service providers. The platform integrates cloud service suppliers and connects to SMBs through multiple distribution channels. Nimbus CSB can be used by communications service providers, managed service providers, and innovative cloud computing solution suppliers who wish to access to the evolving distribution channels.

Verecloud said that it is in discussions with several communications service providers worldwide regarding how Nimbus CSB can launch and transform their cloud services strategy.

Cloud adoption has accelerated faster than even the most aggressive forecasts, with a variety of industry analysts recently has predicted a worldwide market of $150 billion by 2014, from just $59 billion in 2009.

“For large telecommunications companies, that already have a trusted relationship with their business customers who purchase cloud services through their network, Verecloud’s solution allow them to simplify and automate the onboarding and management of these cloud services. Furthermore, it allows their small and medium business customers to integrate the services together, a functionality too expensive to implement before Nimbus CSB,” Hossein Eslambolchi, chairman and CEO of 2020 Venture Partners, and a Verecloud board member said in a statement.

Earlier in March 2010, TMC (News - Alert) reported on the announcement that Network Cadence made indicating the change of its name to Verecloud.
