j2 Global Launches New eFax App for Android Users
Coinciding with a recent subscriber survey on the changing nature of fax, eFax, the provider of cloud-based fax services since 1995, and a brand of j2 Global (News
- Alert) Communications, Inc., launched the eFax app for Android.
The survey, which was conducted by j2 Global Communications, Inc., was handed out to individuals and small business professionals who indicated mobile faxing has become increasingly important for businesses and will continue to do so over the next five years.
According to Mike Pugh, vice president of marketing, j2 Communications, eFax was evolving along with changes in the workplace that saw people doing business on the move at all times of the day regardless of whether it was within working hours or not.
In line with the Internet fax service’s mobile capabilities that allow business professionals to manage and move important documents anytime, anywhere, keeping productivity on the fast track, the new eFax Android (News - Alert) App along with the iPhone and iPad apps “lets people close deals, place orders, get paid, and perform other common fax activities anywhere, any time.”
The eFax Android App allows users to take photos of documents that can be faxed, view and review all received faxes quickly and easily, create customized fax cover sheets and even forward fax messages from inboxes as e-mails or faxes to those who are in the loop.
An eFax customer, Robert Weller, Purchasing and Estimating, CEDC Construction was thrilled with the eFax Android app that helped to send faxes right from his smart phone giving him the freedom to forward faxes even while he was on the go.
A pioneer in the fax business, eFax remains an important communications tool for individuals and companies of all sizes, from sole proprietors with a single fax number to Fortune 500 companies.
