Enterhost Launches a New Array of Cloud Computing Services

By Mini Swamy, TMCnet Contributor

Established in 2000 as one of the very first Windows-only web hosting providers , Enterhost has strengthened its cloud portfolio considerably by launching a new array of cloud computing services, disaster recovery and colocation solutions.

A Microsoft (News - Alert) Gold Certified Partner, the company's new services are all tied to the Microsoft cloud program. Having successfully met Microsoft's stringent partner requirements, Enterhost enjoys an elevated membership status in the program.

This web hosting provider offers customized cloud solutions for companies that are ready to migrate to the cloud. Hence companies, regardless of size, can choose a solution that meets their needs. In addition, Enterhost's private cloud services and cloud desktop solutions enable a mobile workforce to access data and applications from anywhere and at anytime in a secure manner.

Officials at the company say that Enterhost's new cloud based disaster recovery solutions, which use Dell (News - Alert) EqualLogic storage area networks, ensure redundancy and provide excellent backup services. Its 20,000 square feet state-of-the art data center in downtown Fort Worth, Texas, provides ample infrastructure for data storage and replication.

Dedicated servers with different levels of computing power help to store data at its colocation centers. Server uptime is guaranteed with virtual machines automatically restarting on another server within the group in case any server fails. No change of application or additional software is required during this changeover.

Enterhost's colocation services are monitored around the clock by Microsoft Certified experts with companies having the option to choose Managed Colocation in order to have better control.

Consuro, a sister company of Enterhost, is a managed technology service provider based at the same facility, with two additional locations in San Antonio and San Angelo, Texas.

In other related news, Enterhost was showcased in Dell’s catalog for the Europe and North America business markets. As a Dell Certified Partner, Enterhost has extensive experience with Dell’s EqualLogicTM data storage systems, making it an ideal choice for Dell’s creative team.
