Xangati for ESX VMware Tool Now Available At Zero Cost

California-based Xangati, Inc., a provider of Infrastructure Performance Management “IPM” solutions, announced that it has unveiled free VMware tool, Xangati for ESX, for unprecedented ESX/ESXi visibility and troubleshooting.

According to Xangati (News - Alert), its Xangati for ESX is a line of virtual appliances providing real-time, continuous visibility into the otherwise invisible activity of a VMware ESX/ESXi host, its’ virtual machines “VMs” and the infrastructure resources they use.

This fully-featured free VMware tool provides virtualization administrators with the ability to solve problems in real-time for both server virtualization and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure “VDI” environments. It offers an unparalleled user interface presentation with live, continuous “scroll bar” views, DVR recordings and reports.

The Xangati for ESX installs as an .OVF virtual appliance in a very short duration, thereby providing administrators a much smoother installation process compared to other free options, which require pre-existing operating systems be set-up for install.

Offering ESX host level visibility, Xangati for ESX also augments the number of data sources typically covered, including: traffic traversing vSwitches and VMware API. Optimized for visibility and troubleshooting; its superior UI with live navigational drill-down and stream views with full details for VMs and the ESX. The Xangati for ESX is a free tool designed for smaller scale environments with only a few ESX/ESXi hosts. Another version, Xangati for ESX Pro extends the visibility offered by Xangati for ESX with integration to VMware vCenter. It also supports more named identities and offers integration to Xangati Management Dashboards for visibility across ESX/ESXi hosts and physical infrastructure.

Apart from announcing free VMware tool, the company also announced sweeping product enhancements across the Xangati Management Dashboard line.

Officials with the Xangati said that both the latest announcements further solidify the company’s position in the IPM market, providing administrators with the most comprehensive solution available today for managing their entire virtualized infrastructures, as well as a complete free mechanism for trial.
