Greenway's EHR and PrimeSuite Add Value to Distributors

Tech Data Corporation, one of the world's largest distributors of technology products from leading IT hardware and software producers, serving more than 125,000 IT solution providers in over 100 countries, has signed a distribution agreement with Greenway Medical Technologies, Inc. 

As part of the agreement, Tech Data (News - Alert) will distribute Greenway's single-database electronic health records, EHR, and practice the management and interoperability solution, PrimeSuite, that enhances patient care and streamlines operations for healthcare providers nationwide.

Adopting such solutions help doctors qualify for EHR adoption incentives created by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

"Tech Data now has one of the channel's strongest healthcare IT solutions portfolios," Tech Data Vice President, Services Barb Miller, said. 

Miller said that with the rising demand for healthcare IT, and Tech Data's partnership with new and existing vendors have proved to be extremely beneficial, as it could provide a variety of solutions for the reseller The distribution with Greenway further expanded its EHR solution offerings, increasing the spectrum of choice for the customer.   

Greenway President and CEO Tee Green was equally impressed with the partnership with Tech Data as it paved the way for thousands of IT resellers nationwide to promote the EHR solutions to various health centers, clinics and hospitals.

Green promised to associate with Tech Data to ensure that resellers not only had access to Greenway's healthcare solutions, but would also ensure that they benefited from the training and technical support services that Greenway offered, in order to improve patient outcomes, and build successful and profitable practices that would be meaningful in the EHR context.

Greenway's PrimeSuite includes PrimeExchange, which allows for internal interoperability and also external operability with other health agencies, health exchanges and health information networks. The Web portal PrimePatient enables patients to schedule appointments, manage medical history, view lab results, pay bill, access health education materials from the cozy comfort of his home.

PrimeResearch allows doctors to access to a network of clinical trials, research, and financial benchmarking that will enable better treatment of patients, PrimeMobile allows complete remote access to patient data housed in a centralized database, enabling doctors to update notes, view results, exchange data.

PrimeRCM is essentially a revenue cycle management solution that helps medical practices achieve financial goals by streamlining the collection, use and delivery of patient and claims information The PrimeTraining curriculum is targeted at resellers, so they can fully train their teams on the Greenway's solutions. 

In addition to all this, resellers are backed by Greenway's customer services, providing expert pre- and post-sales support to ensure successful solutions deployment and utilization.

Greenway's PrimeSuite also is available for hands-on demonstrations and trainings in Tech Data's recently opened Healthcare IT Pavilion in the company's 6,000-square-foot technology solutions center.

It securely centralizes patient records, clinical tools, billing, reporting, registration and other administrative functions of a medical practice in a single database.

In a related news release, The Advanced Infrastructure Solutions Division of Tech Data Corporation announced that it would provide VARs with access to Brocade high-end service provider and enterprise IP networking solutions, which the vendor acquired last year when it purchased Foundry Networks (News - Alert). The new product line was previously only available direct from the manufacturer. VARs can start ordering products today from Tech Data.

The Iowa Health Information Technology Regional Extension Center has selected Greenway Medical Technologies, Inc., provider of the single-database, integrated electronic health record , practice management and interoperability solution PrimeSuite as a preferred EHR solution for its statewide deployment program within the federal Department of Health and Human Services REC healthcare grant program.
