Securing nation's systems is very important. Persistent evolving threats make the business of securing the systems becomes complex. In this regard, Splunk equipped federal agencies with the ability to search, monitor and analyze both real-time and historical IT data. With the ability to index weeks, months or years of any type of machine-generated data, enabled federal agencies to have a single view into the activity, behaviors and events across their networks and applications.
Offering federal agencies with more complete view of their threat landscape, Splunk provides a level of troubleshooting, network and application security to agencies by presenting a holistic view to investigate incidents and perform complex security analysis.
The Splunk software now has U.S. Army's Certificate of Networthiness which is an authorization that places the software on the Army authorized products list. The authorization underscores broad U.S. Federal market adoption across all sectors
With this accreditation, entire U.S. Army and Department of Defense organizations operating within the Army's enterprise infrastructure can leverage Splunk for real-time search and analysis of terabytes of data across the Army's IT infrastructure.
Tony Ayaz, vice president of federal sales, Splunk, said, 'The U.S. Army and approximately 70 percent of all U.S. federal agencies rely on Splunk for real-time visibility of their IT data for security, compliance and application availability.'
Ayaz added, 'Our extensive work in the civilian sector and within the DoD gives us unique insight into the daily challenges of managing and monitoring mission critical data - often in the terabytes. The Certificate of Networthiness from the U.S. Army demonstrates the value that Splunk delivers in monitoring and securing our country's critical data.'
The Certificate of Networthiness is generally issued by the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command "NETCOM" and it is required for all external software that is deployed on the U.S. Army's networks.
