Extreme Engineering Solutions Starts Shipping XPort4101

Extreme Engineering Solutions said it is shipping XPort4101, an air-cooled XMC/PMC solution.

A low-power, high-performance module, the solution features the AMD Radeon E2400 graphics processor supporting two independent displays and the Conexant CX23888 video capture device.

In addition to AMD (News - Alert) Radeon E2400 graphics processor, XPort4101 also features 128 MB GDDR3 SDRAM; 2D/3D graphics; dual independent displays; component and composite video capture; and WUXGA 1920 x 1200 DVI resolution.

Additional features include PCI (News - Alert) Express interface; an in-house X-ES operating system support includes Linux LSP and Windows drivers. Company officials said that for the solution, the company offers four-hour technical response to all hardware and software questions.

Extreme Engineering Solutions designs and builds chassis, single-board computers, I/O, power, backplane, and system-level products for embedded computer customers.

Last month, the company announced the availability of XPedite5501, a conduction-cooled PMC/XMC single-board computer based on Freescale Semiconductor’s (News - Alert) dual-core QorIQ(TM) P2020 processor.

Earlier this month, Extreme Engineering Solutions started shipping XPort6102, a ruggedized XMC storage solution with up to 160 GB capacity. This Solid State Drive (SSD) is capable of operating within the demanding environments of MIL-STD-810F; harsh temperatures and rigorous shock and vibration conditions.

Also, the company announced that it’s shipping XPort6170, a 3U VPX removable storage module carrier, and XPort6190, the complementary SSD removable storage module with support for up to 100,000 insertions and extractions.
