Microspace Selects Aeris' Enhanced CDMA Network for Managing and Monitoring Digital Signage Networks

Microspace Communication Corporation will be making use of Aeris (News - Alert) Communications’ enhanced CDMA network to monitor and manage its digital signage networks in conjunction with its broadband satellite content delivery network.
Microspace deals in satellite services for digital signage, business communications and digital cinema and Aeris is a wireless communications service provider dedicated exclusively to M2M and telematics solutions.
Aeris provides network connectivity for wireless IP data sessions using 1XrTT or GPRS, as well as full SMS and voice connectivity for M2M applications. From provisioning, to billing, to troubleshooting, the company said that they use real time network access and information to deliver the most advanced platform in the industry.
Greg Hurt, vice president of sales and marketing at Microspace, said that hybrid networks that utilize satellite and cellular technologies are becoming increasingly prevalent and now with Aeris’ advanced CDMA technology they are able to complement their high bandwidth, fixed cost, multicast satellite services with highly reliable, always on wireless connectivity at each site within the network.
Microspace offers high-speed video, data, and audio broadcasting of content to anywhere using its VELOCITY technology. VELOCITY provides a perfect solution for businesses that require economical and reliable video or high-speed data delivery to multiple locations. It is also easier to use and costs less than terrestrial networks.
Aeris has added that by integrating their technology and services Microspace will have the most advanced CDMA wireless network in North America to support and simplify the management and monitoring of digital content. Microspace has made its solutions for digital signage and other business communications apps cost effective and efficient by using satellites for content delivery.
Kyocera (News - Alert) Wireless 300 and 1xD modules received an  Aeris Network Certification and Applied Mesh's DCX solution was certified by Aeris.
