Fluke Networks has
reportedly unveiled a new carrier Ethernet analyzer, the MetroScope-LT, a high-end test equipment of immense use to field technicians.
As Ethernet deployments are growing at an impressive rate of 30 percent annually, service providers need a test solution that can be deployed affordably to a large number of field technicians. The MetroScope-LT analyzer coupled with its ProVision test suite is the ideal solution for service providers.
Mark Mullins, carrier Ethernet marketing manager at Fluke Networks (

“To meet this rising demand, we designed the MetroScope-LT to test and troubleshoot nearly all carrier Ethernet service requests without the need for extensive and costly training or tools.”
MetroScope-LT is the only cost-effective solution that offers Web remote control, allowing field technicians to interact remotely with engineers. Ideal for technicians who are new to Carrier Ethernet, the MetroScope-LT uses an intuitive user interface and offers various functions for testing most of carrier Ethernet service requests. The analyzer employs the Fluke Networks ProVision test suite to run four tests including throughput, loss, latency and jitter, in parallel and capture trending results on all four measurements for up to 24 hours. This makes it very convenient for technicians to detect intermittent problems.
Fluke Networks has a proven track of providing solutions for the installation and certification, testing, monitoring and analysis of copper, fiber and wireless networks to enterprises and carriers in 50 countries.
