Zuora Intros Z-Commerce Platform for Business Cloud

Zuora, Inc. has launched the Z-Commerce platform dedicated to enabling monetization for cloud computing services. The addition of the Z-Commerce platform to the Zuora product list which consists of Z-Billing, Z-Payments and Z-Force has resulted in a full suite of Business Cloud solutions. The Zuora platform helps businesses to reduce the time required to market new products.
Developers are showing a marked shift to building services on cloud platforms. The Z-Commerce platform provides developers with a powerful means to monetize services built on these platforms. According to Merrill Lynch, the addressable market for Cloud Computing is $160 billion. A large number of developers are already using cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services and Google AppEngine. And Microsoft (News - Alert) has said it is all set to reach out to the .Net developers with its Azure cloud computing platform in the near future.
There is undoubtedly a need for cloud developers to make money from the services and applications they build. This need has helped to increase the market potential of providers of cloud-based commerce capabilities like subscription billing and payments. Statistics reveal that more than 50 percent of Zuora’s inbound leads are from cloud computing companies that are looking for a way to monetize their services.
The newly introduced Z-Commerce Platform will work with any cloud computing platform and provides developers with the tools required to build subscription management and commerce into cloud-based services.
The Z-Commerce Platform contains sample code and toolkits and also contains a developer sandbox environment for developing and testing commerce solutions.
Companies that have created customized billing and payment solutions by using the Business Cloud provided by the Z-Commerce Platform include DataDoctors, CVSDude and Bluewolf.
