Centris Technologies to Distribute Semaphore's SCADA Product Line

Semaphore, a wholly owned subsidiary of CSE-Global Limited (CSE) in Singapore, has selected Centris Technologies as a distribution partner for its Kingfisher Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) system product line.

Centris Technologies is a privately held company with offices in Canada and partner offices in the U.S. and Europe, and has already been an authorized distributor of Semaphore for its customers in Eastern Canada including Ontario, Quebec, Newfoundland, Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.

Semaphore offers IP-based Remote Terminal Units (RTU) solutions that enable the complete integration of SCADA system , control, and communications functionality in one rugged package.

The solutions by the company provide a number of advanced features such as up to 50 percent less total installed cost per point versus traditional SCADA / PLC systems, greater organizational access to data through automated reporting and browser software, fast implementation and start-up with minimal training and engineering costs, and easy integration with video and third-party devices, and are preferred by companies desiring flexible, proven standard or Internet-based technology with minimal project delays and risk.

At present, Semaphore provides two lines of SCADA supervisory control & data acquisition products, first one of which is T-BOX. Ideal for both large and small decentralized applications, its push and Web technologies enable high performance, yet economical implementation and operation.

The second product line being offered by Semaphore is Kingfisher, a Remote Terminal Units (RTU) line that features an embedded programming environment compliant with both IEC (News - Alert) 61131-3 and 61499 as well as extended memory and power that go beyond the power of a programmable logic controller (PLC). The product line is equipped with advanced features such as redundant configurations, intelligent I/O, and open programming.

The RTU products by the company cater to the needs of a broad range of monitoring and control applications in the broadcast, telecom, infrastructure management, oil & gas, power, transportation and wastewater industries, and are well suited to large, demanding measurement and control applications.

Apart from being Canadian Master Distributor for ICS Triplex ISaGRAF, Centris Technologies is the North American representative for ARC Informatique, a QNX partner and an ICP DAS Solution provider. The company aims its products and services at integrators, governments, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and end-users.
