CompuCom Systems Acquires Getronics North American Operations

CompuCom Systems, an IT outsourcing company, has acquired the North American operations of Getronics.
 
CompuCom and Getronics have also signed a reciprocal global services partner agreement that allows each company to leverage their combined global capabilities.
 
As per the pact, KPN, the current parent company of Getronics, will retain an ownership position in CompuCom and will have board representation in the expanded company.
The North American operations of Getronics have been acquired in their entirety and will operate going forward under the CompuCom brand name.
 
Getronics has been recognized for innovation in services for workspace security and extensive expertise in security monitoring and management.
 
Adding to recent CompuCom acquisitions of Vanguard Managed Solutions and SaltSpring Software, the Getronics Managed Security Services (MSS) capabilities provide further opportunities for CompuCom clients to receive comprehensive security device management and monitoring solutions. The transaction also enhances CompuCom’s existing network management and data center capabilities.
 
Additionally, CompuCom clients will also benefit from expanded global capabilities via the Getronics global service delivery coverage, and Getronics global clients will benefit from expanded scale and presence in the North American market.
