Card Scanning Solutions' OCR Software Developer Kit Supports 64-Bit Applications

Card Scanning Solutions, a developer of card reader systems using advanced Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, announced the full support of their OCR Software Developer Kit (SDK) for 64-bit applications.

This makes CSSN’s OCR SDK compatible with 64-bit applications running on Windows 7, Vista and XP. This further increases the flexibility and the reach of CSSN’s card scanning solutions which can accurately extract data from personal ID cards like driver licenses, medical insurance cards and other ID cards.

CSSN leverages its card scanning technology to provide a Software Developers Kit (SDK), which consists of a set of integrable files, dynamic libraries and objects, API documents and code samples that communicates quickly with any database application, said officials.

This CSSN comprehensive SDK offers reading technology directly in the existing software application. The OCR SDK offers sample programming languages and the CSSN library of Driver’s License OCR SDK is fully compatible with 64-bit applications in various industries.

CSSN driver’ license scanning solutions feature IdScan and ScanShell.net products which are fully supported by true 64 applications. IdScan is an easy-to-use ID scanner modular application used for scanning personal cards like driver licenses ID cards, medical insurance cards, passports, visit cards and so on. The IdScan SDK reads magnetic strips, OCR and 2D Barcodes (PDF417).

Officials added that ScanShell.net modular package scans a variety of personal cards and the ScanShell.Net OCR Driver License Scanner is available with CSSN’s SDK tools providing support for C++, Visual Basic and other programming tools and languages.

Also CSSN’s solutions serve as a driver license card reading system that reads driver licenses and ID cards of all 50 US states and cards from over 80 countries in the world.

Recently, Card Scanning Solutions announced a partnership with Citrix. ScanShell Scanner series has been verified by Citrix as Citrix Ready.
