In bid to remain competitive and obtain optimum growth in the market, Courion (News - Alert) Corporation, a software solutions company that effectively and securely manages access risk, has welcomed two senior executives to the company. The company has said that these technology industry veterans have been appointed to support the company's international growth, new product development and delivery channel expansion.
According to a press release, Courion has named 35-year technology industry veteran Dave Fowler to the newly created post of chief operating officer. Fowler will take care of engineering, product planning and management, marketing, the Courion Labs research operations, and the software as a service (SaaS (News
- Alert)) operations.
Fowler has experience in enterprise software, security technologies, applications and networking and held operational, marketing and product development positions at technology companies such as SilkNet, Kana, Sun Microsystems (News
- Alert), VidSys, and Groove Networks, and has played a leading role in mergers, acquisitions and IPOs.
Scott Caswell, a financial executive has also been appointed as vice president of finance in the company. Caswell is responsible for financial and operational areas such as accounting, financial planning, analysis and treasury. He holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. He has more than 25 years of finance and operations experience, most recently at global information services management company Iron Mountain. A master degree holder in business administration from Rivier College, Caswell has worked on senior management positions at Intel (News
- Alert), Sun Microsystems, Shiva Corporation, M/A-COM and Connected Corporation.
