- Alert) OLAP software product to Essatto Software. As a result of the agreement, Essatto will now sell Simba's MDX Provider with its range of BI solutions.
An Essatto framework built upon an Oracle Database platform will now be connected to Microsoft (News
- Alert) Excel through Simba's MDX Provider, enabling the customers to view and edit financial analyses report generated.
“The Essatto framework provides powerful, pre-built analyses and reports from data stored within an Oracle Database OLAP Option cube,” said Amyn Rajan, Simba's CEO, in a statement. “Simba's MDX Provider for Oracle OLAP is ideally paired with Essatto to allow users to view and perform further ad hoc data exploration and analysis within Excel. The Excel solution further extends Essatto's popular analytic capabilities - especially in functional areas where deep ad hoc analysis is often needed, such as finance.”
Essatto's Excel view will be powered by Simba's product. Essatto solution will no longer be required to extract data manually for further ad hoc analysis. With Simba's MDX Provider for Oracle OLAP product, they will now be able to gain fast, up-to-date access for accurate ad hoc analysis and reporting within a secure environment.
“Essatto undertook an extensive global search for a solution that would allow end users to connect Excel to our multi-dimensional application, and we were pleased to have found Simba whose product during our evaluation satisfied all of our key criteria and significantly outperformed the alternatives,” said Guy Ioppolo, managing director of Essatto Software. “Simba has simplified and strengthened the link between Excel and Essatto's underlying Oracle data cube for better integration from database interface to spreadsheet output. Our customers gain greater flexibility to explore, manipulate and report on key financial analyses generated by their Essatto solutions.”
In other news, arcplan, a global Business Intelligence (BI) software innovator, and Simba Technologies Inc. recently announced a partnership with that will connect Simba's MDX Provider for Oracle OLAP with arcplan 7 to simplify access to real-time business critical information and reduce IT costs and complexity.
