iWorx Announces Introduction of IX-DSI12 Telemetry Interface for Data Sciences (DSI) Implantable Animal Telemetry System

iWorx Systems, Inc., provider of advanced research solutions and general-purpose laboratory equipment and accessories, announced that it has introduced an IX-DSI12 Telemetry Interface within the Data Sciences (DSI) implantable animal telemetry systems. The IX-DSI12 telemetry interface has been designed to support easy integration with the iWorx LabScribe2 Software.

The interface also makes it easy for researchers leveraging the DSI telemetry implants to conduct a number of ECG, Blood Pressure, and other analyses tasks. Furthermore it provides the first of its kind platform support for data collection and analysis form DSI telemetry transmitters over a Macintosh computer or a PC.

The iWorx IX-DSI12 Interface, which can be set up with relative ease through a high-speed USB connection, allows the compilation of concurrent data on a consistent basis from up to 12 DSI implantable telemetry transmitters. By enabling digital data acquisition and by offering telemetry noise reduction technology, the interface effectively increases the quality and delivers more accurate levels of data than that which is provided by legacy analog adapters.

The process of analyzing telemetry data is automated by the iWorx LabScribe2 Software which also offers a robust series of pre-configured routines to break down the complexities of data interpretation and analysis. To enhance ECG analyses, LabScribe2 software delivers 24 calculations which include R-R, PR, and QT, QR as well as QTc intervals, QRS, T, P and TP durations, in addition to P, Q, R, S, T amplitudes, and ST elevation.

Additional capabilities such as beat averaging and classification, outlier removal that is based on abnormal R-R intervals, heart rate, noise and activity, in addition to Poincare plots and scattergrams as well as easy extraction of source data and average data in the form of images or text files can also be accomplished.

The LabScribe2 software enables blood pressure analyses by supporting real-time data analysis from ventricular and arterial signals. The software is capable of calculating common indices function of the blood pressure signal. LabScribe2 software solution offers arterial and ventricular pressure calculations such as calculating the heart rate (HR), minimum (Pmin), and maximum (Pmax) pressure, as well as mean pressure (Pmean), systolic and diastolic pressure, in addition to minimum (dP/dtmin) and maximum (dP/dtmax) dP/dt, among other such calculations.

Furthermore the software solution also offers automated routines which support multiple analyses of data within a file. Researchers leveraging the software have the option of selecting from a list of 30 calculations. The researchers can then select the report frequency following which they can then write the data to the online journal or spreadsheet file directly.
