Koenig Intros Training on Administering Cisco Unified Communication Manager v8.0

India-based Koenig Solutions has recently introduced the “Administering Cisco (News - Alert) Unified Communication Manager v8.0” (ACUCM v8.0) course. The ACUCM v8.0 course covers first and second level administrators of a Cisco Unified Communications Manager Environment with daily and routine tasks of configuration and management.

Cisco Unified Communications (News - Alert) Manager (CUCM), formerly Cisco Unified CallManager and Cisco CallManager (CCM), is a software-based call-processing system developed by Cisco Systems.

It is known for tracking all active VoIP network components; these include phones, gateways, conference bridges, transcoding resources, and voicemail boxes among others. CallManager often utilizes the Skinny Client Control Protocol (SCCP) as a communications protocol for signaling the hardware endpoints of the system, such as IP Phones. H.323, Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP) or Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is used to pass call signaling to gateways.

By taking the Cisco Unified Communication Manager v8.0 (ACUCM v8.0) course, administrators can learn to perform the most frequently requested administrative tasks for Cisco Unified Communications Manager, and IP phone installations.

Not only this, the administrator can also pick up skills and knowledge required to handle the addition of users, changing of user preferences, basic phone installation, and all the day-to-day management needs that are associated with IP telephony system. The course is based on Cisco Unified Communications Manager 8.0., according to the officials at Koenig Solutions.
