NxGen Modular LLC, a provider of fast, cost-effective methods of building scalable data centers, announced the appointment of Brett Jones as its vice president of sales and business development.
San Jose-based NxGen Modular empowers forward-thinking IT executives, helping them transform the economics of mission-critical data centers. It offers businesses a simpler, faster, and more cost effective way to build and scale data center capacity.
NxGen president and chief executive officer Liz Fetter revealed in a release, “As an expert in data centers, collocation and cloud computing, Brett understands our ever-evolving industry and changing market demands.”
“Brett is also a relationship builder who can anticipate the needs of forward-thinking IT executives seeking the operational dexterity of truly scalable data center solutions,” Fetter added.
It is expected that Jones will be part of a team that is assigned with the task of advancing a new era of mission-critical data centers.
Jones is well experienced in handling responsibilities at the vice president level. He has overseen sales and client relationships for technology companies such as CP Group, Latisys, Globix Corporation and Exodus Communications. He holds a degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
NxGen Modular helps owners and operators to bring data center capacity online in less time, reduce cost structure, and scale capacity according to evolving needs. This in turn enables operators to quickly optimize performance, said officials.
In March 2011, NxGen established a new standard for speed-to-market in the data center industry. The company announced that it has completed the installation of more than 1MW of power in five days.
The installation was carried out for a leading data center provider’s newest facility. This pace-setting installation speed was accomplished using a cutting edge delivery method along with the company’s signature “NxPower” electrical room module, said officials.
