DiSTI Unveils Enhanced Version of its GL Studio Software Toolkit

DiSTI Corporation, a provider of advanced graphical interface technology, recently unveiled a new package of its GL Studio software toolkit that streamlines the creation of interfaces for enhanced embedded applications.

DiSTI specializes in the development of Human Machine Interface software for businesses, governments and the military. Its flagship product, GL Studio, helps programmers and developers to integrate high-fidelity graphics, 3D simulations and fully interactive controls into their models. This tends to improve aspects of realism and sophistication besides facilitating learning and retention.

GL Studio ES (Embedded Systems) optimizes fidelity and also enables a seamless transition from prototyping, to testing and to the deployment of graphical interfaces on embedded systems. Present users of GL Studio will be able to extend their existing interface designs into the embedded domain with a single unified code base.

Officials explained that GL Studio ES features are packaged in such a way to simplify the decision making process. It ensures that the right tools are implemented to optimize the embedded application. Also the solution provides optimized and portable interactive 2D and 3D display content for automotive dashboard and information displays, maritime instruments, industrial controls, consumer electronics and other appliances.

The GL Studio package encompasses a C++ Code Generator, Data Director SDK for easily connecting data, a 3D Studio Max plug-in toolkit and a deployment capability for OpenGL ES (including Apple’s (News - Alert) iOS). These and a unified code base enable GL Studio ES to provide accessibility to embedded systems optimally.

GL Studio ES forms part of DiSTI’s recent re-packaging plan to align its GL Studio software toolkit that matches global vertical market demands. GL Studio DT (Desktop) has the tools to design interactive desktop trainers and GL Studio SC (Safety Critical) contains all the certification and reliability that is required to create safety critical embedded applications. Officials added that GL Studio PR (Premium) is a combination of DT and ES and many other powerful tools.
