"We're seeing increased use of encryption to mask the true nature of malicious traffic," said Steve Shillingford, president and CEO of Solera Networks, in a statement.
“To effectively respond to these scenarios, you must know how the attacker got in, what they saw, what they took, and what they left behind,” said Shillingford.
Solera Networks is a pioneer in delivering Network Security Analytics -- high-speed network monitoring and forensics platform for complete network capture, classification, indexing, visualization, and reconstruction of any network event.
Officials with Solera said that like a camera for the network, Solera DS Appliances classify, index, and store every bit of data that crosses the network, supporting today's fastest networks up to 10Gbps, physical or virtual.
"One of the top questions we get from customers is how they can gain visibility into what is happening within their encrypted traffic," said Mike Simon, president SNR Systems, a major supplier of secure telecommunications systems to the US Federal Government.
Simon said that by combining the Netronome SSL Solution with Solera Networks DS Appliances, the company gives the customer confidence that they are truly seeing everything happening on the network and have the historical record that is critical to taking appropriate action.
"Netronome is excited to work with Solera Networks and their partners," said Jarrod Siket, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Netronome.
Siket said that enhancing Solera Networks' network analytics solution with Netronome's flow processing based SSL Inspection solution to examine encrypted communication now meets the most demanding requirements to see, replay, and reconstruct all network traffic to ensure security on critical networks.
