Trend Micro Helps Go Daddy with Online Security

The Go Daddy Group can now better understand and stay ahead of online threats with Trend Micro (News - Alert). The Go Daddy Group is the largest provider of Web hosting, domain name registrations and new net SSL Certificates in the world. Go Daddy has over 9.4 million customers. With more than 49 million domain names under management, Go Daddy maintains over 5 million active hosting accounts.

Advanced protection for systems in the dynamic data center is provided by Trend Micro Deep Security. The systems can be either physical, virtual or cloud servers. Deep Security also provides advanced protection for virtual desktops.

Go Daddy can now provide improved protection. The threats will be blocked by Deep Security in the cloud before they reach the Go Daddy network and servers. Threat activity and associated protection will be more visible to Go Daddy. The Group will be also able to implement flexible, fast responses to changing threats. Go Daddy will be able to achieve maximum customer satisfaction by minimizing the impact on server performance. The total cost of ownership will be therefore lowered for Go Daddy.

In a release, Todd Redfoot, Chief Information Security Officer for GoDaddy.com said "Since Trend Micro Deep Security has a small footprint, it allows us to keep the same customer density on our servers. The Deep Security console is very easy to use, and anything you can do from the console can be carried out automatically to keep the cost of administration low."

Intrusion (News - Alert) detection and prevention; firewall; and integrity monitoring are combined by Deep Security. Log inspection and agentless anti-malware capabilities are also included. Business continuity is ensured as data breaches can be prevented with Deep Security. Compliance with important standards and regulations like PCI (News - Alert), FISMA, and HIPAA is also supported by Deep Security.

The threat intelligence of the Trend Micro Smart Protection Network cloud security infrastructure is leveraged by Deep Security. Sophisticated cloud-based reputation technologies are combined by this next-generation innovation with the expertise of TrendLabs researchers. Real-time protection from emerging threats is therefore delivered by Deep Security.
