- Alert) has announced the inclusion of three new executives, who will be based at the company’s newly expanded Silicon Valley headquarters, to provide leadership in enabling the personal cloud. Erin Hintz was appointed as vice president, global marketing and ecommerce, Online Services Division; Shankar Iyer joined as vice president of product management, Receiver and End-user Services; while Bob Schultz, was appointed group vice president and general manager, Enterprise Desktops and Applications.
The company is confident that Hintz's enterprise, SMB, consumer and OEM marketing experience will help catalyze go-to-market efforts for the expanding Online Services Division which provides easy to use and secure cloud based solutions such as GoToMeeting and GoToMyPC designed to help people collaborate and work from anywhere with anyone. Hintz received her post graduate diploma in management studies from Wilfrid Laurier University and an Honors B.A. from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

Iyer's experience at WebEx division of Cisco, where he helped setting up a Cloud Applications business unit to provide next-generation SaaS (News
- Alert) and cloud applications for large and small enterprises will help drive product strategy for personal cloud and end-user services with Citrix Receiver. The service has been developed to provide users with access to virtual desktops and applications from any device anytime. Iyer, holds a Bachelor of Technology in mechanical engineering from IIM (Mumbai), received a M.B.A. from Santa Clara University and an M.S. in mechanical engineering from Ohio State University.
Shankar Iyer, said that “Citrix Receiver enables business users to work with their applications and data from anywhere with a full self-service experience. It is my goal to continue to enhance the user's experience from any device – tablets, smartphones, laptops, and other new devices in the future. I look forward to working with the great team that is behind Citrix Receiver.”
Schultz will help in expanding Citrix's desktop and application virtualization business. He will also help drive Citrix XenDesktop and Citrix XenApp. Schultz has spent nine years with HP where he held several senior leadership roles in Enterprise Server, Storage and Networking businesses. His last appointment was as vice president of operations, planning and strategy. Schultz has a M.B.A. from the Keller Graduate School of Management, Chicago, IL, a M.S. in computer science from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a B.S. in general engineering from the University of Illinois.
