Elite Communications Selects EMC as Its VSAT Provider

Recently, the firm announced that it has picked Emerging Markets Communications (News - Alert) as its satellite connectivity provider for its oil and gas customers based in North America.

Emerging Markets Communications is a global satellite and terrestrial communications company. Its proven experience in delivering reliable connectivity to the oil and gas industry played a major role in its selection by Elite Communications.

Officials said that EMC (News - Alert) will deliver a satellite virtual network operator solution that includes bandwidth capacity, implementation, 24/7 support from the Global Operations Center, and on-demand scalability for growth.

The connectivity solution of EMC will also offer increased reliability and flexibility for Elite's customers in the Gulf of Mexico and throughout North America, onshore in more than 100 sites.

Additionally, EMC's virtual network operator solution will deliver internet access for Elite's existing and future customers in the Gulf of Mexico and North America.

The solution uses Elite's current hardware, which needs minimal up-front capital costs; a quickly-deployed implementation, immediate availability of on-demand satellite capacity and the teleport link.
