Samsung NX-N2-T Zero Expands Zero Client Lineup with New Desktop Endpoint

Samsung (News - Alert) Electronics America has launched the NX-N2-T, a compact and versatile VDI device with a standalone zero client desktop that enables businesses to simplify and secure their desktop endpoints with built-in PCoIP technology.

The Samsung NX-N2-T is a VESA mountable endpoint that has the ability to support the I/O connectivity that today’s business users need, including use cases requiring up to six different USB devices. It delivers up to five times the VDI pixel performance over the previous generation processor. It offers stronger security with AES 256- bit encryption and requires less power consumption, increasing efficiency and reducing energy costs.

Tod Pike, senior vice president at Samsung’s Enterprise Business Division, said in a statement, “We’re committed to meeting the needs of these user environments, regardless of existing infrastructure and budget. Zero client solutions like the NX-N2-T Desktop are flexible and easy for businesses to deploy, maintain and manage, and are less vulnerable to security risks.”

Teradici CTO Randy Groves commented, “On a track record of success with PCoIP zero clients, Samsung is extending its line-up of flexible, affordable zero client devices with the addition of the NX-N2-T desktop to its portfolio of popular zero-client display and zero-client stand endpoints.”

Samsung’s NC Series zero client line-up is a class of professional-grade monitors specially designed to provide an all-in-one solution for desktop virtualization and cloud computing.

The NX-N2-T Desktop, Samsung’s Zero Client lineup features the NB-NH stand and NC Series displays. The NB-NH transforms business monitors into VDI access devices by integrating the latest VDI endpoint technology into the base of the monitor stand. The new NX-N2-T Zero-Client Desktop is now available with MAP price of $298 and all Samsung Zero Client devices can be found at select Samsung resellers and channel partners.
