Cloudera, QlikTech and Paxata Partner to Improve Business Analytics

Today’s businesses are more empowered than ever to access and iterate a variety of data sets to gain actionable insight to improve business processes. Cloudera, QlikTech and Paxata have teamed to help businesses extract even more value from their business analytics solutions.

The self-service Adaptive Data Preparation platform from Paxata is designed to enable business analysts to collect, explore, transform, and combine data, while Cloudera aims to provides enterprise analytic data management. Finally, QlikTech specializes in user-driven Business Intelligence (BI).

"Paxata will give our customers new ways to streamline the delivery of their original source data to a broader range of non-technical users, in a flexible structure that can be understood and exploited by today's business intelligence tools," said Tim Stevens, vice president, Business and Corporate Development, Cloudera.

Powered by a variety of analytic technologies like semantic algorithms, Paxata’s cloud-based, self-service solution enables users to retain historical context of how data is shaped over time, and provides both visibility and collaboration controls as required.

Businesses can import data regardless of format and Paxata’s solution will automatically identify the data’s meaning and significance. The solution also leverages pre-built functionality to detect and remediate blanks and other errors on the fly, without requiring any scripting or complex Excel functionality.

"QlikTech's QlikView continues to revolutionize the business intelligence industry by making data an actionable and natural part of how people decide and act," said Peter McQuade, vice president of global alliances at QlikTech. "We believe Paxata has the same opportunity to revolutionize the information management industry."

"While there has been significant innovation in data management and next gen data discovery, the business analysts, who sit between those technology sets, have longed for innovative solutions that accelerate their data integration, enrichment and quality work," added Prakash Nanduri, co-founder and CEO of Paxata, in a statement. "Paxata will be to data preparation what Cloudera is to data management and QlikTech is to data discovery, which is why we are thrilled to partner with these two leaders."
