EXASOL recognized by Gartner again

The German-based EXASOL AG, company that develops a data management system, recently announced that Gartner (News - Alert) Inc. has once again listed the company in the Magic Quadrant for Data Warehouse Database Management Systems (DBMS).

EXASOL has been recognized for EXASolution, a relational high-performance database that was specifically developed for enterprise warehouse applications and business intelligence solutions. The In-Memory-technology-based database is utilized by companies of all industry sectors for time-critical analyses, comprehensive data research, planning or reporting. By integrating geodata and Big Data-sources as well as unstructured data - e.g by using the feature EXAPowerlytics - EXASolution offers an additional dimension of evaluation for more efficient and ad-hoc analyses. The easy-to-manage database can easily be integrated into existing IT infrastructures and requires a minimal amount of administrative maintenance, while ensuring low investment and operation costs (TCO).

“We are proud to have done this year a big step forward”, says Steffen Weissbarth, CEO of EXASOL AG. “With our expansion strategy and the planned product enhancements we are aiming to make the final leap in 2014 into the Leaders quadrant.”

As an appliance EXASolution, is available in three versions. EXACloud, based on EXASolution, is offered as data warehousing as a services.

Meanwhile, Wooga recently announced it is using the new Data Warehouse Appliance from EXASOL to derive more information about the level of satisfaction of its expanding customer base. With the new analysis platform, Wooga can now easily and quickly analyze data of its user community for social games. Based on in-memory technology, the high-performance database EXASolution was selected by Wooga for its tuning freedom. The database has been designed to work as an appliance solution with Dell (News - Alert) hardware over 6+1 individual computers that were combined to form a cluster.
