Panorama9 Seed Funding of $900k to Expand its US Sales Presence, Add Features to its Cloud-Based IT Platform

After two years of successful organic growth, Panorama9 has finally secured $900,000 in seed financing from Denmark private investors to help continue its growth and expansion in the U.S.

Panorama9 resolves common IT headaches by offering an extremely multifaceted dashboard to help track IT policies, improve uptime, keep networks secure anytime and provide detailed information about your servers, computers, software, users and internet services.

The management platform is designed with today’s IT needs in mind, incorporating support for BYOD and mixed-OS environments. In addition, it has a well-designed and Web-based dashboard that provides IT managers with a comprehensive view of their network, with real-time tracking and alerts on company assets.

It is also able to detect security vulnerabilities and non-compliant systems, among other things.

According to one of this round’s lead investors, Jakob Roed, also an early investor in Zendesk, Panaroma9 shows several parallels with Zendesk, and the value it brings to customers in an age when more and more business functions are moving to the cloud. Another of the investors, Morten Stromested, believes Panaorama9’s approach to the management of a company’s IT resources makes the work of IT managers easier. Its platform offers better ways of solving the current challenges facing IT teams, from BYOD to virtual collaboration – all of which require a different approach to managing devices, software, security and networks in a company.

Panorama9 intends to use the current funding to develop additional features and improve on the platform’s flexibility and usability. The company also intends to expand its sales presence in the U.S. in early 2013 to nurture its partnerships and accommodate strong growth.

Panorama9 was launched in the U.S. in April this year, following successful Scandinavian trials, and has seen increases in customer signups in the U.S at an average rate of 20 percent per month.
