RackSolutions Partners with CyrusOne

RackSolutions, a company that provides custom data center infrastructure solutions, recently announced the partnership with collocation solutions provider CyrusOne (News - Alert), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cincinnati Bell Inc.

According to the terms of the partnership, RackSolutions, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Innovation First International, will be supplying custom server rack, cabinet, and aisle-door solutions to CyrusOne, allowing the company’s customers to reduce the power consumption, and ensure security and privacy.

“There are as many ways of racking servers as there are data center designers. Given this, it makes sense for data centers to use racks customized to their specifications,” explained Dennis Feeney, vice president, RackSolutions. “We are thrilled to team up with CyrusOne, who has designed some of the most elite data center facilities in the world, to provide customers with efficient, flexible, and scalable custom rack and cabinet solutions that deliver on aspects routinely ignored by other industry players.”

“OEMs are evolving server technology on a continuous basis. This evolution will in turn impact the width, depth, and cooling characteristics of servers, and we wanted to deliver server containment solutions that will evolve in dimension. This approach helps future-proof the rack and cabinet investment for our customers while enabling a more efficient operating environment for our clients’ critical infrastructure,” said Michael Duckett, chief operations officer, CyrusOne.

RackSolutions designs, builds, and ships server racks and server rack accessories including open frame server racks, rack cabinets, wall mount racks and server rack shelves. RackSolutions' server racks are compatible with all the leading OEMs such as Dell (News - Alert), HP and IBM servers and equipment, and they meet the EIA standards for 19" server racks. The fully enclosed, secure server cabinets range in size from 18U to 42U server racks, and they exceed OEM air flow requirements. These racks come in size ranges from 16U to 58U, and they are quick and easy to assemble.
