ForeScout + McAfee = Solid Security

Today, a coveted provider of automated security control solutions for Global 1000 enterprises and government organizations, ForeScout Technologies Inc., announced that it has extended its collaboration with the world's largest dedicated security technology company, McAfee.

The integration between ForeScout CounterACT and McAfee (News - Alert) Enterprise Security Manager (ESM) will reduce log management and threat management processes while providing enterprises with dynamic situational awareness of network access and endpoint compliance issues.

ForeScout CounterACT is ForeScout's automated security platform, which allows its users to see and control everything connected to their network, no matter the device or user. The platform does not require an agent on the endpoint and furthermore employs multi-factor system fingerprinting technologies, such as software installation, running services, processes, open ports and network activity.

Administrators can set rules that can dynamically find and fix endpoint configuration and security issues with little or no intervention with the help of advanced policy enforcement capabilities. It also assists in automatically quarantining or removing devices in compliance violation or exhibiting malicious behavior.

To fulfill reporting and auditing requirements, all CounterACT activity is recorded and sent to the McAfee ESM.
