HP Unveils Four New All-in-One PCs

It seems to be a big month for product announcements — Motorola (News - Alert), Amazon and Nokia each made some huge product announcements already and it's only the second week of September — and with the holidays on the horizon, it's only going to get more hectic.

However, while smartphones and tablets steal the limelight, Hewlett-Packard (News - Alert), recently ranked the top PC manufacturer in the world by IDC, has just unveiled some new all-in-one PCs, including two new additions to the Envy line.

These two new Envy desktops, the Envy 23 and Envy 20 TouchSmart, both offer 10-point multitouch technology, making them Windows 8 ready. The Envy 23 sports a 23-inch HD display, while the Envy 20's touchscreen measures 20 inches diagonally. Both models feature the newest Intel (News - Alert) processor options, optional ExpressCache for faster system boot and solid state drive options.

Furthermore, both PCs sport Beats Audio and a number of proprietary HP technologies, such as HP Connected Photo, which can seamlessly sync photos from a smartphone to the PC.

The HP SpectreONE boasts an ultraslim design, measuring only 11.5 millimeters thin, and a 23.6-inch flush-glass full HD display. This model also features an accompanying wireless trackpad, offering multitouch capabilities suitable for navigating Windows 8. The SpectreONE also features Nvidia graphics, SSD options Beats Audio and NFC technology.

“The clean look of an all-in-one PC and the ease of one-cord set-up are key reasons customers turn to HP,” said James Mouton, senior vice president and general manager of the Personal Computer Global Business Unit at HP, in a press release. “The SpectreONE design is art as well as a powerful entertainment hub. Across our rich line of all-in-ones, we continue to drive value and differentiation that have earned us sales of more than 5 million all-in-ones.”

Lastly, the HP Pavilion 20 all-in-one PC features a 20-inch HD display and is aimed at those seeking an all-in-one capable of handling everyday use at a reasonable price point.

HP this week announced that it will cut approximately 29,000 jobs by 2014.
