CommProve's Roamer Insight Improves Revenue at Wataniya Maldives

CommProve, a provider of network monitoring and business solutions for mobile networks, has revealed that Wataniya Telecom (News - Alert) Maldives has selected CommProve’s Roamer Insight to ensure a seamless roaming experience among users.

Wataniya has deployed CommProve's (News - Alert) Roamer Insight software across its network to enable quality of service monitoring and proactive network troubleshooting.

With CommProve's Roamer Insight’s troubleshooting capabilities, the telecom operator is now able to address the issues across both the radio access and the core layer of its network, thereby improving the roaming revenue.

CommProve Roamer Insight can quickly analyze where problems are located within Wataniya's own network, or with partner networks/interconnect routes, the company said in a press release.

Based on CommProve’s experience in the existing deployments and tests, Lars Pedersen, CEO, says operators have over 25 percent roaming revenue at risk and so, using Roamer Insight, operators are able to greatly improve network revenues.

CommProve Roamer Insight generates key performance indicator (KPI) reports from the underlying radio access network interface protocols for subscribers who roam in or out of the monitored network, giving an extra edge to network operators to see where coverage, capacity, drops and call set ups impact roamers.

"The CommProve Insight software is enabling us to understand the impact of quality issues such as network congestion, and we're also able to reduce churn and increase network revenues,” said Mounir Hasrouni, CTO of Wataniya Telecom Maldives, in a statement. “We're excited about the opportunities Roamer Insight brings to our network."

Back in December, CommProve revealed that its revenue for the past year has grown by over 55 percent and the company's customer base has expanded in Western Europe, as well across Middle East and Africa.

In 2011, the company won six new customers for its Mobile Broadband Insight application. The company also launched two key products: the CommProve NetLedge p20K and the CommProve BCN (News - Alert) RAN Insight application.
