AYKsolutions Announces Linux Mint Operating System Sponsorship

The ongoing growth of the Linux Mint operating system will be supported with a generous new sponsorship plan from AYKsolutions. Development within the Linux community is further encouraged by AYKsolutions. An announcement in this regard has been made by the top company in the field of dedicated server hosting, shared hosting and VPS hosting, AYKsolutions.

In a release, Artyom Khmelnitsky who is the President of AYKsolutions said, “Linux Mint is a great, free, and actively supported operating system that is easy to use and light on resources. With the popularity of the Linux operating system growing at an incredible rate, we are proud to offer two servers at our Denver data center facility, which Linux Mint currently uses for its repositories.”

According to Khmelnitsky, the company is excited to receive this exceptional opportunity to give something back to the Linux community.

Flexibility and responsiveness are some of the features of the free Linux based operating system distribution, Linux Mint. A wide range of supported software packages are also featured by Linux Mint.

According to Clement Lefebvre, Founder of Linux Mint, the operating system has millions of users. This year, there has been a significant increase in the user base. The amount of data needed to serve the users efficiently could not be handled by the company’s existing servers in Germany.

Lefebvre said, “When thousands of users hit the same server at exactly the same time, you need not only a server that can handle the processing of the information with RAM (News - Alert) and CPU, but also, most importantly, a server that can output that much information at a time.”

According to Lefebvre, 100Mb and 1Gb of data per second are served by the two servers provided by AYKsolutions. The ever increasing demands of new and existing Linux Mint users can be therefore met by Linux Mint. Unmetered bandwidth has also been provided by AYKsolutions. This is one of the most valuable aspects of the servers provided. Lefebvre added that Linux Mint need not worry about serving the growing user base. Linux Mint can therefore focus on improving the operating system.
