Telos Corporation has announced that it was recently awarded a new $19 million task order by the Air Force’s Electronic Systems Center, Cyber Integration Division Hanscom AFB, Mass. The new task order was made through the Network Centric Solutions (NETCENTS) contract vehicle.
Under the task order, Telos will deploy a Second Generation Wireless Local Area Network (2G WLAN) at Air Force bases across different locations across the globe. Through this project, Telos will integrate both sites with existing wireless installations and sites without any wireless coverage. To ensure success of this project, Telos will carry out site surveys, design both core and expansion wireless networks, obtain components, provide sustainment services, conduct comprehensive engineering studies, and provide on-site training. The company will additionally set up a 24x7 call center for ongoing support enterprise-wide.
In a release, Brendan Malloy, senior vice president and general manager of the company’s Secure Networks group said that “NETCENTS orders for the year are off to a hot start. We are receiving orders for a wide range of wireless projects, continuing our long history of providing Air Force warfighters with capabilities that enhance their mission effectiveness.”
