- Alert) claim that the company’s new IT solution streamlines PC and device management, and enhances productivity of remote workers for businesses of all sizes across the country.
“Microsoft is focused on providing management solutions to help IT organizations give employees access to what they need, when they need it, from anywhere and on a wider variety of device,” said Sumeet Khanna, director of Windows Client, Microsoft India, in a statement.
“A solution like Windows Intune is the perfect example of how customers and partners of all sizes can take advantage of cloud computing for easy-to-use PC management and security,” said Khanna.
Microsoft has claimed that use of Windows Intune can help companie save large amounts of money. The company citing an IDC (News - Alert) report, says that businesses can leverage the power of the cloud to empower employee productivity, and save up to $702 per PC per year with this new offering .
“Windows Intune provides an ideal PC management solution for our clients. It includes updates, end-point protection, licensing, systems management and the ability to tell us exactly what’s going on with our clients at any given time, all from one console,” said Bobby MD, associate vice president of enterprise services at Microland.
“This will also give us the opportunity to expand our customer base across geographies with the ability to serve them wherever they are based,” said MD.

TMCnet recently reported that Microsoft has made several upgrades for Windows phones. The most prominent upgrade is making it much easier to copy and paste text, reported a Windows blog post. Users can now just tap on a word and then drag arrows to copy and paste the desired text on a phone. This also allows for copying text from e-mails, text messages, web pages, and Office Mobile documents. They can be pasted wherever a user can type text.
