Aryaka Networks, the world's first SaaS (News - Alert)-based WAN optimization and application acceleration solution providers, has announced its selection as one among the four finalists at the UBM TechWeb Launch Pad 2011. Aryaka will appear live on the crucial stage during Cloud Connect at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA (News - Alert) on Wednesday, March 9, 2011.

In a release, Steve Wylie, Cloud Connect general manager, said that “The Launch Pad competition at Cloud Connect recognizes those companies that are shaping the cloud computing industry and offers them the opportunity to showcase their latest technological advancements. We'd like to applaud the innovative solutions that these four Launch Pad finalists have presented to the community. They represent the rapid pace of progress that continues to characterize the cloud computing industry.”

The Launch Pad Jury chose eight submissions from among the initial round of applications through Twitter and solicited the uploading of a short YouTube (News - Alert) video as the requirement for competing for the title and ensuring their presence at the event. The four Launch Pad finalists were then selected by the Cloud Connect community through voting and will be put to a live audience vote. The People's Choice Winner will be announced at Cloud Connect.

Cloud Connect has been widely acknowledged as the most significant event of the cloud computing industry. In a release, Ajit Gupta, founder and CEO of Aryaka, said that “Aryaka is excited to showcase our unique solution to industry peers and honored by the community recognition. This opportunity is another validation of our visionary cloud-based approach to WAN optimization.”

In addition to being offered the exclusive opportunity of showcasing their innovative solutions before the cloud computing community, each of the four Launch Pad finalists are also endowed with the prospect of receiving real-time audience feedback.
