Parents Can Monitor Kids' BlackBerry E-mails, Texts via WebWatcher

Awareness Technologies has launched its computer monitoring software called WebWatcher. This application is able to check on e-mails sent to and from Blackberry phones, and is a handy tool for parents who can now keep a tab on their children’s online activities.

According to a research study by Pew (News - Alert) Internet and American Life Project, 21 percent of teens between ages 12 and 17, send and receive e-mails through their smartphones. About 26 percent of the teen cell phone users have been harassed by other people on their cell phone. Parents can now use WebWatcher to view complete details and contents of the e-mails arriving in their children’s inbox. The parents can also keep tabs on the SMS text messages and find out who is the sender of those mails and messages.
