AMD Introduces Black Edition Processors to Complement Vision-Technology Based PCs

In an effort to take high definition entertainment experience to another level, world leading provider of computing and graphics solutions Advanced Micro Devices (News - Alert) (AMD) announced an enhancement in its family of desktop processors.

The newly introduced "Black Edition" processors including AMD's (News - Alert) new flagship six-core desktop processor join AMD's award-winning 8-series chipset and recently launched AMD Radeon HD 6000 series graphics for PCs. The entire suit of chips is designed to deliver vivid high-definition experiences in 3D with GPU-accelerated multimedia performance.

In a press release, AMD maintained that with these latest technologies, gamers and PC enthusiasts will be able to enjoy The Ultimate Visual Experience on a new PC featuring VISION Black Technology from AMD.

The AMD Phenom II X6 1100T is AMD's new desktop flagship processor. According to its maker, the processor is designed to offer high-end features like unlocked clock multipliers, Turbo CORE technology and six-core performance.

With the AMD Phenom II X2 565 Black Edition, AMD is offering an affordable processor for enthusiasts looking for performance-tuning capabilities at amazing clock speeds.

In the release, AMD explained the background of lunching its new desktop processors along with PCs based on VISION technology.

The growth of high-definition and 3D digital media content has created a new level of immersive visual experience, the company officials explained. According to AMD, the versatility of VISION Technology-based PCs creates almost limitless possibilities for consumers, such as moving to the Internet for video entertainment, creating lasting video and photo memories, playing the most visually intensive PC games, and improving performance when multi-tasking, all without sacrificing battery life.

AMD’s VISION-technology based PCs can offer you multi-core value, versatile platform options, high definition video, and 3D graphics in a single package. Those who are looking to upgrade to a new PC with all these features, are sure to benefit from a new PC with VISION Technology from AMD, the AMD officials affirmed.

AMD also came up with the results of a survey that was jointly conducted with Lenovo (News - Alert). "Lenovo-AMD Small Business Tech Survey," said that resource-and-cash-strapped small businesses struggling to cut costs in a slow economy are leaving simple cost savings options on the table and putting data at risk, according to a recent survey from Lenovo and AMD.
