op5, a global network management and monitoring company has introduced op5 Monitor 5.2. This provides IT administrators with the monitoring tool they need for meeting today’s increased demands, the company stated.
The new version provides the ability to add monitoring, logging and statistical data along with automatic error searching and alarm management, quickly and easily.
Companies place their IT departments under greater stress than ever before driven by the promise of cost reductions and extremely short time to market through cloud services. op5 Monitor 5.2 equips IT managers with the information they need to make the most informed IT decisions, claimed the company in a press release.
“IT organizations must be able to quickly answer questions on what systems to move to the cloud, about virtualization, and about outsourcing, and meet business needs when it comes to implementation and management, said Jan Josephson, CEO of software developer op5, in a press release. “Our op5 Monitor 5.2 automates and streamlines IT management, frees up time for proactive work and ensures control in major error situations.”
Enabling distributed and load balanced monitoring for effective management of business critical systems, all in one unified solution, op5 Monitor 5.2 adds a new dimension to the Nagios project base by providing a single overview for monitoring the entire IT system, be it cloud-based, virtualized, or traditional. With this, IT administrators can retain monitoring capabilities even in case of a major network failure, stated the company. op5 Monitor 5.2 automates many traditionally manual tasks, such as collating information from cloud-based and in-house systems.
The company launched the op5 monitor in April 2010 which is designed to give an effective overview and control via easily available visualizations of data and events, according to the business needs of the customers. The goal for this new version has been to give the whole system a new modern and improved user interface. The company claims to have solved many major issues regarding usability and flexibility to make customizations and improvements.
