Ossid a division of Pro Mach announced plans to unveil its new CS100 case scale at Pack Expo 2010.
According to company sources the CS100 case scale is an NTP certified case scale that operates and changes over easily besides offering a range of data management benefits. Also it achieves nearly 45 case-per-minute throughput.
Ossid specializes in the design and manufacturing of packaging equipment solutions for fresh and processed protein products, convenience foods, medical devices, and consumer goods. Ossid’s principal product lines are weigh-price labelers, case-ready tray over wrappers, horizontal form-fill-seal machines, and in-motion case-weight scales.
In a press release Ernie Newell, vice president and general manager of Ossid said, “We carefully researched customer needs and designed an effective solution for operators and managers in terms of ease of operation, extensive data management capabilities, and speed. The CS100’s open architecture ensures straightforward integration, not only with Ossid weigh price labelers, but also with diverse upstream and downstream systems.”
Company sources gave details regarding the key features of the Ossid CS100. It includes Microsoft (News - Alert) SQL Database or MSDE for seamless data integration and data transfers and network connectivity through wired or wireless Ethernet for automatic order processing and tracking, remote user training, off-site maintenance and software upgrades among others.
It is also capable of enabling automatic download of product recipes to other line devices such as weigh price labelers, inkjet printers, scanners, and case packers for reductions in human error. Its open architecture Windows-based operating system ensures greater flexibility and faster troubleshooting.
The easy to follow menu prompts featured in the CS100 and 15-inch color touch screen makes operation easy for a diverse workforce. It supports multiple languages and comes in variable case sizes ranging to 27.5 inches wide and 29.5 inches long
