BMC Software Releases New Version of Its Industry Leading Control-M Solution

In today’s dynamic business environment, characterized by on-demand business cycle, the IT organizations are looking for the solutions that would allow them to dynamically manage workloads to match their ever-changing business priorities.

A new version of BMC Software (News - Alert), Control-M solution is designed to address this growing demand. Through a recent press release, BMC Software announced the launch of BMC Control-M 7, which is designed to automates the management of dynamic and static workloads across applications as well as physical, virtual and cloud platforms, making sure business needs are met -- regardless of how complex or unpredictable they may be.

From telecommunication companies to weather forecasters and from IT companies to retailers, more than 2,300 organizations rely on the BMC Control-M solution to support their mission critical workloads, which may include delivering cellular phone bills in a timely manner, delivering critical reports for shipping vessels or delivering bills and stocks to the vendors in time. Whatever may be the customers’ needs, the BMC Control-M solution allows customers across the globe to balance their IT needs with business goals.

According to BMC, the majority of its customers migrated from other scheduling solutions and roughly half of them consolidated workloads from multiple tools to BMC Control-M. In the 25 years since the product was introduced, these organizations have converted millions of job definitions resulting in more than 50 million job executions per month.

In its new version, BMC adds a new capability to its solution. The BMC Control-M 7 solution embeds dynamic workload management capability that automatically maps workloads to IT priorities using policies that react to real-time business needs. This new feature enables enterprises to ensure workloads are aligned with business operational cycles, maximizing IT resources and reducing costs.

In addition, BMC Control-M 7 helps harness cloud environments. This, according to the company, provides the elasticity needed to cost-effectively support fluctuating workloads.

Then, BMC Control-M 7 features an ultra-portable product architecture, which supports both virtual and physical environments, both on- and off-premise, fitting varied IT and business needs. The solution provides the flexibility needed to meet business service levels and priorities by easily enabling a cloud for processing workloads.
