Password Reset Software Provider Tools4ever Works with Staffordshire County Council to Increase Productivity

The Staffordshire County Council has recently implementedTools4ever, a provider of password reset software, into their business processes. Tools4ever’s (News - Alert) Self Service Reset Password Management (SSRPM) solution has already helped the council completely manage their password resets on their own, thus greatly increasing productivity.
The County Council boasts over 8,000 users that are currently using Tools4ever’s reset software solution, in order to reset their own Active Directory and other systems/application passwords. A password reset software program like this greatly reduces the need for help desk and system administrators to assist employees in resetting lost or forgotten passwords, which in turn increases service levels and saves both time and money.
Network users can easily enroll into SSRPM by feeding the system self-identifying facts about themselves. Then once the password has been reset, their identity must be confirmed by providing those same facts. The password reset software process can then be quickly completed. SSRPM can be used 24/7 in remote locations, according to a press release.
"We did an analysis of the amount of calls to our helpdesk and one of the biggest issues was password resets, particularly network password resets," commented Vic Falcus, head of ICT Service Management at Staffordshire County Council. "What we were trying to do is remove waste and we looked for a solution to automate the resetting of Active Directory passwords. We defined SSRPM as the best and most cost-effective solution in the market. The solution was easily deployed and the implementation and integration was painless. From a ROI perspective, this solution is the sensible thing to do. It significantly reduces the support requests to service desk personnel, who we want to be working on more valuable support activities.”
Through use of SSRPM, Staffordshire County Council has already seen an increase in efficiency of their help desk. Due to the fact that end-users can now reset their own passwords, there is no longer a large amount of work time wasted waiting for the help desk.
Password reset software helps employees quickly reset their passwords and get right back to their workload without delay.
