AT&T and LG Electronics announced the 7 December launch of the LG eXpo phone


Dec 01, 2009 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- US communications holding company AT&T (NYSE:T) and consumer good company LG Electronics MobileComm U.S.A Inc (KSE: 066570.KS) on Monday announced the availability of the new LG mobile phone, LG eXpo, online beginning 7 December 2009.



LG eXpo reportedly features the first 1 GHz processor in the US and is expected to allow business professionals to meet their data sharing needs while on the go.

In addition, the LG eXpo is the first device in North America to support an optional integrated pico projector. The LG Mobile Projector snaps onto the back of the device and allows users to share presentations, slideshows and even online videos straight from their mobile phone. It will be compatible with AT&T's High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) 7.2 Mbps technology.


LG eXpo also features the aEUR~Smart Sensor' fingerprint recognition from AuthenTec, which delivers a new level of added smart and personal security and eliminates the need for pin codes and passwords.

The device is loaded with Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional, has 3.2-inch external touch screen with 16M colour, a full size QWERTY keypad, supports a RSS Viewer, Podcast and aGPS. In also has a 5.0 megapixel camera with built-in auto flash, and can support up to a 16GB removable microSD memory card for premium music and photo storage.

The handset will be available exclusively for AT&T enterprise customers, beginning 7 December 2009, and for purchase online at www.att.com/lgexpo for USD199.99 after mail-in rebate.

The LG Mobile Projector will be available in the coming weeks for USD179.99.
