JaxMP, a leading Microsoft (News - Alert) System Center alliance partner dedicated to simplifying and improving network monitoring with intelligent native solutions, has launched version 2.0 of its Network Management for System Center.

The first version, launched in 2009, offered advanced, easy-to-use SNMP monitoring that was previously unavailable on the market. Now, version 2.0 will include a rich, extensible library of SNMP-based solutions for monitoring and managing network devices, as well as 15 management packs for Cisco (News - Alert) network firewalls, routers and switches.

JaxMP’s Network Management solutions suite includes the Network Interface MP for System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) 2007 R2; Network Performance Monitoring (NPM) Management Packs for SCOM; Cisco Catalyst Switch; Cisco ASA and PIX firewalls, and Cisco Aironet wireless devices; and SNMP Trap Enhancer.

The Network Interface MP for System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) 2007 R2 provides standardized interface monitoring using the IF-MIB and EtherLike-MIB. The Network Performance Monitoring (NPM) Management Packs for SCOM has been designed to deliver advanced and in-depth monitoring of specific devices such as support for Cisco Router 1800, 1900, 2800, 2900, 3800, 3900, 7200 and Cisco Catalyst Switch 2950, 2960, 3560, 3750, 4500, 6500.

The SNMP Trap Enhancer enables centralized trap collection and event enrichment with integration to Syslog or SCOM, as well as a trap library with over 1,000 predefined rules, including coverage for all Cisco device SNMP Traps and Notifications. JaxMP provides in-depth, fully customizable network Management Packs for SCOM 2007 R2 and is designed to deliver increased device discovery, environmental and hardware monitoring, and enhance service performance monitoring.
