visionapp, an international IT provider that supplies software and services for private, public and hybrid cloud solutions, was recently acquired by Allen Systems Group (ASG), a leading software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) and cloud platform provider.

visionapp AG, which is headquartered in Eschborn near Frankfurt, has additional branches in Munich, Ettlingen, Vienna and London. The company’s complete cloud computing solutions for private, public and hybrid clouds is helping more than 25,000 businesses worldwide.

By using visionapp's CloudFactory, customers can create, supply and operate highly scalable and secure cloud infrastructures quickly, simply and efficiently.

"We look forward working with ASG to help our combined customer base gain the full benefits of cloud computing," said Juergen Gallmann, visionapp's chief executive officer, in a statement. "In addition, the access to ASG's solutions portfolio provides tremendous value to our visionapp customers."

The latest acquisition will enable ASG to incorporate its solutions portfolio with the visionapp technology to provide customers an easy on-ramp to the cloud, this would help in determining the integration of cloud-based applications with existing applications and databases, which could be the key barrier to cloud adoption.

"visionapp is the market-leading cloud orchestration company worldwide. The visionapp technology aggregates all types of clouds. Adding visionapp to the ASG portfolio provides our customers with immediate access to cloud computing from a provider that's been doing this for over 10 years," said Arthur Allen, president and CEO of ASG.

Allen said that they will continue to execute on their commitment to offer innovative technology solutions that help their customers manage complex IT environments.

ASG provides mission-critical enterprise information technology management software solutions to large enterprises and medium-sized businesses in a variety of industries and has a global presence with approximately 1,100 employees in 65 locations in 28 countries to serve the needs of our multi-national customers.
