Dev/Build Resources to Digital Agencies through a "Smart Solution"

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

Joyent, a provider of smart computing solutions, has announced the launch of its Smart Solution for Digital Agencies. Leveraging Joyent's innovative Smart Technologies, the new program provides critical resources for the creation of interactive content, games and media.

The service provides free access to smart computing infrastructure during the build process. It will help digital agencies set up affordable start-ups by eliminating up-front investment in capacity.

Free professional services from Joyent solution architects will assist agencies in effectively building high-scale, high-performance infrastructure, relieving agencies of the capacity management burden and allowing them to concentrate on innovation and creativity, the company said.

Smart Solution for Digital Agencies also provides end-to-end infrastructure availability to eliminate the hand-off of assets when a project moves into production. With the ability to provide complete campaign services—from development to delivery— the program reduces the risk of incompatibility and provides agencies with greater flexibility in meeting customers' needs.

Another highlight of the program is the additional revenue opportunities offered through a new reseller license program. Agencies can bundle discounted app delivery into their product pitch for a more comprehensive package, or take advantage of a referral compensation program for recommending the Joyent Smart Technologies to their clients, the company said.

“Joyent has a long history of supporting the app development efforts of the most progressive digital agencies with the high-performance, stable capacity they need to rapidly scale their applications to meet client demands,” Adrian Ludwig, vice president of Marketing with Joyent, said.

“With this new Smart Solution, we looked at the whole production lifecycle and optimized our platform to deliver an end-to-end service tailored specifically to meet the needs of a digital agency, all the way from test dev through production and the infrastructure to deliver the entire campaign,” Ludwig added.

Joyent is a provider of Infrastructure-as-a-Service or “IaaS” and Platform-as-a-Service or “PaaS” offering cloud computing solutions worldwide since 2004. Recently the company announced it has partnered with Redwood City-based Codesion, a provider of enterprise-grade Subversion, Git and CVS hosting, to provide seamless, secure, end-to-end automation of the application development and deployment process.
