Cisco Webinar Will Demonstrate the Power of the Agile Data Center

Is your data center designed to easily respond to the constant changes in the business, the market or internal pressures? A data center that cannot adapt well in today’s environment is one that needs to change, but this can be a daunting project for even the most tenured of IT managers.

To help in the process, Cisco (News - Alert) is offering a free webinar, Cisco Data Center Architecture: The Power to Say Yes. This event is scheduled for 9 a.m. Pacific Time (12:00 p.m. Eastern Time) on September 14.

This live online event is designed to enable attendees to learn how Cisco's new architectural vision helps companies evolve their data center to more easily respond to and adapt to the ever-changing needs of the enterprise.

Those attending the webinar can learn how to make the company more agile with an open-system approach; how to provide virtual services to people at any time, any place and on any device; how to keep the network secure while also increasing openness; and how to reduce costs while also boosting performance.

Any company wishing to compete in today’s intense marketplace must be able to adapt according to an environment that rapidly changes. Flexibility has to start in the data center and Cisco can show you how to get started.

A planned exhibitor at the upcoming ITEXPO (News - Alert) West 2010, Cisco announced its intent to acquire privately-held ExtendMedia (News - Alert) recently, a provider of software-based Content Management Systems that manage the entire lifecycle of video content through monetization for pay media and ad-supported business models.

Hans Hwang, vice president, Collaboration Advanced Services at Cisco, recently participated in a TMC (News - Alert) interview in which he discussed the most significant trend in communications and the rising demand for help in increasing adoption of new technologies. And, while unified communications has already gone mainstream, Hwang believes ultimately customers will win in the smartphone/tablet wars.
