Storwize Online Storage Optimization Solutions Passes VMware Testing

Storwize's STN 6000 appliances have achieved VMware Ready status. This designation indicates that the Storwize products have passed a detailed evaluation and testing process managed by VMware and is now listed on the VMware Partner Product Catalog. Passing the extensive VMware-specified testing helps ensure that Storwize makes best use of VMware technology and is ready for deployment in customer environments. Storwize is the leader in online storage optimization solutions through real time data compression.

VirtenSys (News - Alert) has announced the industry's first virtualization of storage controllers and disk drives in servers. According to officials, the VirtenSys IOV switches can now support Ethernet, SAS (News - Alert)/SATA and Fiber Channel. They can also provide servers with the strong price/performance and low energy consumption for accessing the local area networks, or 'LAN,' and storage infrastructures.
