ManageEngine Joins Riverbed's Technology Alliance Program

ManageEngine (News - Alert), a provider of cost effective network, systems, security and applications management software solutions, has announced that it has joined Riverbed's Technology Alliance (RTA) Program.

 

RTA program is a group of complementary technology companies, sharing a common vision of accelerating data and application performance and delivering savings as customers increasingly use wide area network (WANs) to enable global business.

 

With ManageEngine NetFlow Analyzer -- a traffic analysis and network forensics application -- enterprises can now obtain bandwidth usage reporting for Riverbed (News - Alert) Steelhead Appliances.

 

In addition to reducing application and network protocol inefficiencies, Riverbed Steelhead appliances also offer bandwidth optimization. ManageEngine NetFlow Analyzer provides in-depth visibility of the network with traffic analysis and network forensics.

 

The joint solution from Riverbed and ManageEngine is expected to help enterprises monitor business critical applications. In addition, it will also enable an enterprise to achieve optimum bandwidth usage, according to ManageEngine officials.

 

"The joint solution from Riverbed and ManageEngine NetFlow Analyzer provides in-depth visibility into our WAN traffic and accelerates applications crossing the WAN,” said George Caraker, manager of IT operations at Kennedy/Jenks Consultants. He added that ManageEngine NetFlow Analyzer is easy to install and use and represents “excellent” value.

 

The organization can now easily identify the root cause of many network issues, resolve bandwidth utilization problems, and track long term trends, Caraker said, adding, “We can also do application monitoring and IP monitoring to ensure quality of business critical applications like MS Exchange and SAP (News - Alert).

 

Back in June, ManageEngine released an update to its voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) quality monitoring solution, VQManager, which focuses on catering to the management requirements of VoIP service providers.
