Vision Solutions is a provider of high availability, disaster recovery and systems/data management solutions for IBM Power Systems.

Henry Martinez, Vision Solutions' senior vice president of engineering said that their software solutions passed an extensive battery of tests in terms of compatibility and reliability on IBM's BladeCenter.

The company is now the proud owner of the "Ready for IBM Power Systems Software" mark assuring iTERA HA, MIMIX HA and ORION Solutions for IBM passed extremely stringent standards for compatibility and reliability.

"Validation scenarios mirror exactly what our customers experience on a daily basis and ran as smoothly as on non-blade environments," Martinez said.

According to officials, the Vision Solutions software was tested on Blade Center S. The Centers used multiple IBM JS12 BladeServers which support IBM i, AIX and Linux environments as well as virtualization and Dynamic Logical Partitioning (DLPAR) capabilities.

Ron Peterson, senior product strategist for Vision Solutions said that IBM's virtualization strategy drives better overall utilization of hardware resources. This in turn offers reduced system footprint, lowered energy consumption and streamlined IT operations, Peterson said.
